Terms of use

The agreement between you and me when you use this site or buy a plugin from it, written to be read rather than skimmed.

Last updated: 30 September 2026

1. Who I am

Baltic Digital is run by me, Dan Cotugno-Cregin, a sole trader trading as Baltic Design and Baltic Digital, based in Gateshead, United Kingdom. "I", "me" and "my" in these terms mean me; "you" means the person or business using the site or buying a licence.

2. What these terms cover

These terms apply to baltic.digital and to every plugin, licence, download, account and support service offered through it. By using the site or buying a licence, you agree to them. My Refund & Returns policy and Privacy Policy form part of these terms.

3. Licences

When you buy a paid plugin, you get a licence that gives you:

  • use of the plugin on the number of sites stated when you bought it (one production site unless stated otherwise; staging and development copies of that site are included)
  • updates for as long as your licence is active
  • support, as described in section 7

Licences are for you or your business and can't be sold, shared or transferred without my agreement. Free plugins can be used on as many sites as you like.

4. Payments and renewals

  • Prices are shown in pounds sterling. Payments are taken by Stripe or GoCardless.
  • Paid licences run for a year and renew automatically so your updates and support don't lapse. You can turn off auto-renewal at any time from your account and keep everything until the end of the period you've paid for.
  • If I change prices, the change applies from your next renewal, never part-way through a period you've already paid for.

5. Refunds

Every first purchase of a paid plugin comes with a 30-day, full-refund guarantee. Renewals can be refunded within 14 days of the renewal date. The full details are in my Refund & Returns policy.

6. Updates and compatibility

While your licence is active, I provide updates for compatibility with current versions of WordPress and WooCommerce, bug fixes, security patches and improvements. Minimum requirements are listed on each plugin's page.

WordPress sites vary enormously, so I can't promise compatibility with every theme, plugin, hosting setup or piece of custom code. If you find a conflict, tell me and I'll do what I reasonably can to fix it.

7. Support

Support is by email, during UK working hours, and comes directly from me. It covers:

  • bug reports and anything not working as described
  • help installing and setting up the plugin
  • questions about how a feature works or how to use it for its intended purpose

It doesn't cover custom development, changes to how a plugin works for your specific site, or problems caused by modified plugin code. I'm happy to quote for that work separately through Baltic Design.

8. Fair use

You agree not to:

  • share, sell or publish licence keys
  • bypass, disable or tamper with licence checks
  • use the site or any plugin for anything unlawful
  • overload or disrupt the site, for example with automated scraping

9. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity on your account. Let me know straight away if you think someone else has access to it.

10. Suspending or ending a licence

I can suspend or end a licence if a payment is reversed through a chargeback, if there's fraud, or if these terms are seriously or repeatedly broken. Where it's reasonable to do so, I'll contact you first and give you the chance to put things right. If a licence ends, updates and support stop.

11. Your statutory rights

If you're a consumer, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 says digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If a plugin isn't, you're entitled to a fix or a replacement, and if that isn't possible, some or all of your money back. Nothing in these terms affects those rights.

12. Liability

Please keep regular backups and test changes on a staging site first. That's good practice with any plugin, and especially with ones that change or remove media.

I'm responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of me breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. I'm not responsible for loss that wasn't foreseeable, or for problems caused by other software, your hosting, or changes made to the plugin by someone else.

If you buy for business purposes, I'm not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business or data, and my total liability is limited to what you paid me for the plugin in question in the previous 12 months.

Nothing in these terms limits my liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law.

13. Intellectual property

The Baltic Digital and Baltic Design names, logos, website design and content belong to me and can't be used without permission. Using a plugin doesn't transfer ownership of it to you.

14. Changes to these terms

I may update these terms from time to time, and the date at the top of this page will show when. Changes won't affect a licence you've already paid for until it next renews.

15. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you're a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
