Product Terms Gate

Free

Product Terms Gate adds a terms acceptance popup to WooCommerce, requiring customers to acknowledge conditions before adding specific products to their cart. Ideal for age verification, hazardous goods disclaimers, delivery restrictions, or regulatory compliance.

Choose from global terms, category-specific, per-product, or hierarchical mode. Fully compatible with AJAX add-to-cart, quick view plugins, and WooCommerce HPOS.

The problem

Some products need a “yes, I understand” first.

Selling age-restricted goods, hazardous items, or products you can only deliver to certain areas? WooCommerce gives you one terms checkbox, for everything, at the very end of checkout.

That’s too late and too vague. The customer has already filled their basket, and they’re agreeing to your general terms rather than the conditions that apply to this product.

The solution

Terms at add-to-cart, not at checkout.

Product Terms Gate shows a terms popup when a customer tries to add a specific product to their cart. They acknowledge the conditions for that product before it goes in the basket.

Apply terms globally, by category, per product, or in hierarchical mode. It works with AJAX add-to-cart, quick-view plugins and WooCommerce HPOS.

Key features

Terms that match what you sell.

The core

Add-to-cart terms popup

Customers must acknowledge conditions before specific products can be added to the cart.

Acceptance logged on the order

A record of each acceptance is kept with the order, so you can show what the customer agreed to.

Four scoping modes

Global terms, category-specific, per-product, or hierarchical mode.

AJAX add-to-cart compatible

Works with shop-page and archive add-to-cart buttons, not just the single product page.

Quick view compatible

The gate still fires when products are added from quick-view plugins.
